CHAMPIONSHIPS for 2023:

10 February    –   VAAL Championship.
02 March        –   EAST GAUTENG Championship.
20 April           –   MPUMALANGA  Championship.
18 May             –   SHIHAN Championship.
03August       –   SOUTH GAUTENG Championship.
07 Sept             –   NORTH GAUTENG Championship.

26 Oct             –  SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL Championship.

Japan Tenshinkan Members won the WORLD JKF (Japan Karate Federation) CHAMPIONSHIPS in JAPAN.

We have different Championship contest during the year ranging from:

(1) Club Championships;
(2) Inter-Club Championships;
(3) League Championships;
(4) Squad Championships;
(5) Provincial Championships;
(6) Inter-Provincial Championships;
(7) National Championships;
(8) International / World Championships (abroad).

In addition our Students can also partake in National All Styles Championships:
Our students can obtain:
Style Colors
Provincial and National Colors.

All Championships are contested by Age and  Belt Color group.

Our Championships are based on the International standards as set in Japan, and are arranged on a loser-pool basis. (i.e: You get a second chance if you lose a fight ).

Medals, (or Trophies) and Certificates will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners.

All members that participate must be registered members of  Tenshinkan.
Programs with the dates of the championships will be issued to you by your Instructor.
